The Connected Infotainment team is integral to making that vision a reality, by leveraging technologies such as AWS, HTML5 and Node.js to bring to life features like media streaming and in-car payment services.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic technical lead with a passion for technology who can help us deliver our vision. This role is perfect for someone with a knack for problem solving, an ability to quickly learn and drive the adoption of new tools and techniques, and strong communication skills.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Ensure that our products address customers’ needs and meet their quality expectations

Drive the adoption of CI/CD tooling and test automation

Arrange and participate in activities such as manual and automated testing

Work closely with architects and product owners on system requirements and design activities

Mentor engineers on both technical and soft skills

Conduct root cause analysis on defects and work with suppliers / developers to ensure that fixes are delivered, integrated and assessed in a timely manner

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:

Experience in solving complex technical issues using structured approaches e.g. Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified

Knowledge of modern automated test frameworks e.g. Cypress, Puppeteer, Selenium

Some experience with cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, EC2 (or GCP equivalents) and Docker/Kubernetes

Ability to independently learn new technologies and drive adoption in the team

Experience in mentoring engineers both on technical and soft skills

Ability to arrange activities and manage others' time

Strong verbal and written communications

Relevant degree (e.g. Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:

ISTQB certification preferred

Javascript, Python or Kotlin

Experience developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines

QNX/Linux/Android operating systems

Experience in analysing software performance

Knowledge of distributed systems (e.g. interaction between cloud and devices)

Some experience working within a Scrum team

Supplier management

Full UK driving license
