About the Opportunity: Accounts Payable Team Lead (Fixed Term Contract)

The Finance Department at UEL is integral to the University's stability, efficiency, and strategic growth, aligning with their Vision 2028. They provide a comprehensive suite of financial services, encompassing budgeting, tax planning, compliance, and expert advisory support, ensuring the smooth operation of the University. A crucial aspect of their work involves the timely remuneration of service providers and suppliers, underpinned by robust accounts payable processes and strict adherence to internal control policies. The team proactively collaborates with Schools, Services, staff, and students to deliver financial guidance, uphold compliance, and maximize value for money across all university operations.

This specific role is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract for an Accounts Payable Team Lead. You will be responsible for managing a team of three Accounts Payable Officers, overseeing the efficient operation of the University's centralized accounts payable function.
