The AUM Insights team specialise in providing insights into all aspects of managing Aon’s in house Underwriting division, AUM.

 

From underwriting performance, through to the operational controls, governance and process, AUMI deliver advanced insights to help drive the business forward and provide value-add service to our clients. We are on a journey to advancing our analytics to predictive modelling, data science and AI, and we want a technology-focussed individual to help with our journey.

Aon Underwriting Managers 

AUM undertakes underwriting and claims handling services on behalf of insurers and delivers expertise in specific product ranges or trade sectors. AUM focuses on commercial insurance products across Accident and Health, Property and Casualty, Financial Lines and Marine sectors.   AUM fulfils many of the roles of an insurance company - underwrites (evaluates the risks and exposures of potential clients against the insurance covers), prices (determines the premium that is charged to insure that risk), issues policies, mid-term adjustments and renewals and on some facilities, manages the claims handling and settlement.

AUM has an in-depth understanding of the diverse range of solutions that we offer, and our insurance products are specially designed and unique to Aon. 

 

Job Description

Assist in the design and development of Power BI dashboardsTake user requirements and interpret them into technical requirementsHelp with user training and guidanceAssist with request management and prioritizationSit in on Underwriter meetings to understand the challenges they face and identify opportunities where they can leverage tools and technologyImplementing data solutions in line with client needs, legislation requirements and our Aon strategyAssist with organisational demands, timekeeping, notetaking and project management

Skills Required:

SQL knowledgeExcel knowledgePower BI experienceAn aptitude for learning and developmentA curiosity about all thing’s analyticsA willingness to learn and upskillInsurance background preferablewillingness to take on other ad hoc requests as directed by managementMinimum degree level standard (or equivalent).        Good written and oral communication skills.High level of numeracy.
