Salary:£52,285 - £60,730 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We are looking for an Asset Policy and Strategy Engineer to join our growing SSEN Transmission Asset Management team.

This role will be primarily responsible for monitoring the performance of our Asset Management System and our compliance to the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR). You'll also support the development of our asset management strategies to meet our key business objectives.

You will

- Analyse and audit SSEN Transmission's Asset Management System, to the ISO 55001 standard, providing the appropriate KPIs & reporting to demonstrate continuous improvement in our asset management performance.

- Carry out internal audits to ensure an independent guarantee that all Transmission's risk management, governance and control processes are operating effectively.

- Support the continuous improvement of SSEN Transmission's Asset Management capabilities, using feedback gained from external benchmarking activities.

- Ensure SSEN Transmission maintains compliance to the ESQC Regulations through audit and collaborative engagement with key stakeholders throughout SSEN Transmission.

- Define and maintain the asset risk register in collaboration with the Risk and Assurance team and ensure it is communicated with relevant stakeholders.

You have

- Experience in supporting the development and performance management of ISO55001 certification within an asset management organisation.

- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality technical and business documentation.

- Experience in delivery of internal/external audits and the ability to demonstrate how you have used the audit process to deliver performance improvements to an organisation's asset management system.

- An Institute of Asset Management qualification; certification as an IAM-approved Assessor or a degree in Engineering/Project Management is highly desirable.

- A full and current drivers licence as this role would require travel to SSE sites and offices.
