Job Description JOB TITLE: 130547 Assistant Product Manager - Business Transaction Banking LOCATIONS: Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or London HOURS: Full-Time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: There are 2 positions available, 1x permanent role and 1x 12 month Fixed Term Contract/internal secondment, which will support the Product Manager in their delivery. About This Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Payments Product Team within Business Transaction Banking (BTB) as an Assistant Product Manager focusing on Physical Payments. BTB provides a diverse range of products and services both domestically and internationally to commercial customers. The team is responsible for Product Management, Governance, Commercialisation and Pricing & Performance, ensuring BTB products meet evolving client needs and align with our group purpose of Helping Britain Prosper. In this role you'll focus on the continuous management of Cash & Cheque products while supporting the development of strategies to shape the future of the physical payments proposition. Key Accountabilities: Lead elements of the Quarterly and Annual Product and Risk Reviews. Review, analyse and present management information to senior management, recommending actions to achieve business objectives. Provide product expertise, ensuring appropriate governance, collateral, pricing, infrastructure, and support. Assist in defining the product roadmap for cash and cheque payment solutions aligned with strategic goals. Support changes that deliver Payments Strategy, pricing, and optimise client experience. Join us on our journey and you will too… What You’ll Need: Product/Procedural/Specialist Knowledge: A deep understanding of Cash and Cheque products portfolio and supporting operational processes, ensuring efficient day-to-day management and compliance with regulatory standards. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in delivering customer-focused, innovative change across a large organisation, with a clear focus on meeting agreed business targets, priorities, and objectives, including commercialising investment projects. Financial and Non-Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret financial and non-financial information, identifying key issues and implementing appropriate actions, controls, and measures to ensure strong financial performance of the product portfolio. Effective Communication: Ability and confidence to communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to enhance client experience and explore opportunities for product development. Influencing: Proven ability to influence across multiple teams and at all levels of the Bank, ensuring appropriate governance, collateral, pricing, infrastructure and support are in place. Self-Motivation and Initiative: Self-motivated and takes initiative to see tasks through to completion, leading others to deliver on initiatives, with an ability to work at pace and handle conflicting priorities.
