We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Associate Lecturers with a background in Diagnostic Radiography, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nutrition & Dietetics to support teaching and learning on our existing Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Radiography and Nutrition & Dietetics subject areas across different levels in the School of Health and Wellbeing. You will join a friendly and supportive team of academics who play key roles in the delivery and on-going development of courses across the School. Responsibilities for the post will include teaching or marking assignments on the FY, BSc, MSc (pre-reg) and apprenticeship allied-health courses.
All staff across the School work as an inter-professional team, teaching collaboratively across shared and profession specific modules at all academic levels and you will be expected to share this philosophy.
The School of Health and Wellbeing offers a diverse range of programs, including foundation degrees in various health and social care specialties, BSc (Hons) degrees in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedic Science, and Social Work, as well as Master's level study in multiple disciplines related to Health and Social Care. Additionally, we provide apprenticeship programs designed to support professional development and career progression within allied health fields.
The School is actively expanding its CPD provision, ensuring continuous learning opportunities for healthcare professionals. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. Selection Process:
Short-listed candidates invited to interview will be asked to deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by 5 minutes questions. The topic will consider teaching ‘Evidence-Based Practice education for healthcare professions’, aimed at Level 4 students. The Chair of this group will provide feedback on the presentation to the subsequent interview panel.
