Baggage Systems Delivery Manager British Airways – Heathrow

As we invest in transforming our Heathrow operation, we’re looking for an exceptional Baggage Systems Delivery Manager to help shape the future of our baggage operation across T3 and T5.

As Baggage Systems Delivery Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operation delivering system changes that keep our airport moving and our customers’ journeys seamless.
What you’ll do:
You will:
Deliver the Baggage Strategy working with key stakeholders from across different directorates in delivery of the Baggage Proposition, bringing BA’s long‑term Baggage Strategy to life, identifying smarter, future‑ready opportunities Lead the safe, efficient delivery and integration of Baggage Handling System (BHS) changes across multiple terminals Develop robust project plans, resource models and delivery timelines Work in close partnership with Heathrow Airport, various technical/engineering teams, suppliers and operational colleagues Proactively manage operational, technical and financial risks across multiple projects Ensure all changes meet aviation safety, regulatory and airport standards Drive continuous improvement from our partners/suppliers to reduce delays, outages and improve throughput of the BHS across T3 & T5. Provide clear reporting against service levels and performance targets Troubleshoot live issues during project phases and developing robust mitigation to protect our operation and customers.What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Experience working with baggage systems or within a complex operational environment (preferably airport) Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver. Confidence interpreting engineering, systems or technical data. Influencing skills across multiple organisations and stakeholder groups. Strategic thinking with an eye on long‑term performance and resilience. A collaborative, proactive and safety‑first mindset.
