Role Overview:

The Business Function Quality Control Officer (ICRM Controls) is a strategic professional supporting the delivery of the Compliance Transformation plan though a review and challenge process within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM). Business Quality Control (BFQC) focuses on assessing the quality execution of Transformation work efforts and deliverables using information provided by commitment owners. In addition, this role provides advice and counsel related to the BFQC process, as well as risk and controls, and how to evidence commitment closure. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and convince others. This roles reports into the Business Quality Control Officer within the ICRM Controls Team, and will work as part of a small project team with the opportunity to manage, or perform solo reviews, as the need arises.

What you'll do:

Complete assigned Quality Control (QC) reviews with a focus on verifying controls and risk reduction by defining and executing assessment/testing strategies

Analyze processes and controls to credibly challenge proposed changes and risk management

Provide advice on control design and effectiveness

Lead review meetings and conduct control walkthrough meetings as needed

Complete QC analysis, controls testing, QC checklists and maintain trackers

Manage stakeholder and other business/function QC participation as part of assigned reviews

Assist with the analysis of feedback themes and trends

Assist with the presentation of themes and trends and training

Assist with the maintenance of templates and procedure documents

Contribute to process change and improvement

What we'll need from you:

Audit, testing, or other quality assurance/control experience preferably from within the financial services industry

Knowledge of risk and controls concepts e.g. Risk identification and measurement, risk management and control design.

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Effective organizational influencing skills required

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to see the big picture with high attention to critical details

Highly organized with demonstrated capability of managing oneself to tight deadlines

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree preferred

Audit related qualification preferred
