This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a remote work environment and possesses a strong understanding of Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems. As a Home-Based CAFM Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between operational teams and the CAFM system, driving improvements and supporting key business objectives.

Why This Role is a Career Advancement Opportunity:

  • Remote Work Flexibility: Enjoy the benefits of a fully home-based position, offering a superior work-life balance and the freedom to manage your workday from anywhere.
  • Strategic Impact: You'll be instrumental in outlining and implementing developments and improvements for G4S's CAFM systems, directly influencing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Develop and lead a Super User Community, fostering innovation and collaboration. This will provide excellent opportunities to hone your leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: In addition to a competitive salary of £50,000 per annum, G4S offers a robust benefits package including a contributory pension scheme, annual leave entitlement (25 days plus bank holidays), and access to a wide range of employee assistance programs, discounts, and wellbeing services.
  • Career Development: G4S is committed to your growth, offering progression, training, and development opportunities tailored to your career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities and What They Mean for Your Career:

  • Super User Community Development: Leading workshops and calls to gather ideas and drive innovation. This is a fantastic platform to develop your facilitation, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Audits and Validation: Ensuring the effective use of CAFM systems through audits. This will enhance your analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of operational processes.
  • CAFM Governance and Ownership: Collaborating with technical managers and IT partners to prioritize workstreams. This experience will strengthen your project management, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Workflow Scenario Management: Working with regional directors and business managers to document and test workflows. This cultivates your ability to translate business needs into system functionalities and ensures your expertise in process optimization.
  • New Contract Mobilisation: Implementing CAFM systems as part of new operational solutions. This hands-on experience in project mobilisation will be invaluable for future large-scale implementations.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and ongoing support to end-users. This role will sharpen your presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking system performance, identifying trends, and generating reports. This will build your data analysis, critical thinking, and reporting capabilities.
  • System Evaluation and Recommendations: Assessing new systems and improvements, producing review papers. This aspect of the role will hone your research, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Data Management: Building large datasets for import into CAFM systems. This experience will enhance your data manipulation and organizational skills.

Key Considerations for Your Application:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar CAFM management role.
  • Proven experience with CAFM solutions, including database structures, coding, and configuration.
  • The ability to map processes and procedures effectively.
  • A solid understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and asset lifecycle management.
  • Specific experience with FSI Concept Evolution is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
