Catering Coordinator

We are looking for a seasoned, results focused Catering coordinator with a strong operational background to join our team at Wythenshawe Hospital.You will oversee retail and patient food services, ensuring food quality meets expectations while staying within budget.Your role includes managing relationships with the client and teams, controlling stock, and being the main point of contact for stores.You'll be responsible for order placement, receipt, distribution, and cost control for both retail and patient dining, as well as supporting department heads to manage vendor spend and minimize waste.Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.What youll doOversee the creation, placement, and control of orders for Patient Dining and Retail, ensuring accurate records and invoice management.Provide regular updates on order volumes, consumption costs, and evaluate vendor spend weekly, managing costs in line with budgets to optimize CPPD.Work closely with operational leads to ensure accurate stock ordering based on usage, sales, and activity, while minimizing waste through streamlined processes and strict stock control.Ensure effective management of staff, adhering to HR policies, and maintain clear communication across all levels, including team briefings on objectives and values.Maintain health and safety standards for all staff, including agency workers, and contribute to strategic site discussions to improve performance.Ensure contract compliance, service delivery, and customer service excellence for staff, patients, and visitors, while managing risks and contributing to succession planning and workforce development.Manage the electronic meal ordering system, ensuring efficient operation in coordination with the Food Service Operations Manager.What youll bringResults focused with proven success working towards KPIsStrong operational background in customer service, facilities management, leisure, retail sectors, (or related).An experienced leader who is effective directing others.Strong understanding of consumer trends in relation to retail and food service.Experience in a contract catering, healthcare or hospital environment is preferential.Knowledge of food hygiene issues.What we offer£30,000 - £32,000 per year + Sodexo benefits.Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.You'll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you'll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you'll be able to thrive in your own way.
