The role

As a Change Control Manager, you’ll lead the development, implementation and management of robust change control processes across complex, high profile projects within our Naval Nuclear business. This is a critical role that ensures strategic alignment, project integrity and informed decision making - making a real difference to national security and the future of defence engineering.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of change management professionals and operating within a matrix management environment.

Leading the creation and application of change control frameworks and procedures across projects and programmes. Managing and mentoring a small team of project controls professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities. Interfacing with Planning, Cost Control and Commercial teams to ensure consistency and compliance. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to clarify change impacts and secure alignment. Influencing Delivery teams to ensure consistent application of change control processes.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.

Essential experience of the Change Control Manager

Proven experience in project controls or project management, with a focus on change control or commercial management. Ability to manage complex change processes across large-scale projects or programmes. Skilled in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel). Familiarity with project controls systems (e.g., Primavera, CEMAR, SAP). Experience managing or mentoring team members within matrixed organisations.

Qualifications for the Change Control Manager

Professional qualification in project management or controls (e.g., APM, PMI, or equivalent).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
