JOB TITLE Change Management Director LOCATION 100VE / United Kingdom "location flexible" WORK-LEVEL 3X JOB PURPOSE We need to simplify the Unilever technology landscape by reducing the number of applications. The separation of our Ice Cream business will remove a layer complexity within the organisation, whilst segmenting our markets will enable standardisation of Business Processes and eliminate further complexity. Furthermore, the end-of-life imperative to upgrade our ERP solution presents the opportunity for a fundamental technology transformation at Unilever. Mirai is the Business Transformation Programme that will deliver a simplified IT estate across both ERP and our core business critical applications. This is needed to fully deliver the ambition set out under the Productivity Programme. There are three key drivers behind the timing for Mirai: Separation of the Ice Cream Business Productivity Programme (savings of €800m over three years), including segmentation into Business Group led (BG-led) & One Unilever (1UL) Markets, & move to Hubs. All four Unilever ERP instances operate on SAP ECC, which is approaching End-Of-Life (EOL) in 2027/30. Mirai is a critical enabler for all the changes being delivered by the new Operating Model. New and refreshed technology is required to maximise productivity savings from the redesigned organisation and enable the move to standardised processes. The Mirai Change Management Director is accountable for developing the overarching Business Change plan and approach, incorporating Training, Comms & Engagement, Organisational Change and Business Readiness for all Unilever Markets/BG/BU which are in scope of Mirai. This will include the following: This role is responsible for ensuring that all changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently, minimizing resistance and maximizing employee adoption and usage. The director will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement change initiatives that align with the organization strategic goals driving the significant business and technology transformation Programme across Unilever. The Mirai Change Management Director will engage with key stakeholders across various regions inclusive of cross functional teams to foster support and collaboration, ensuring that all change initiatives are communicated effectively and executed efficiently across the business processes that are being standardised and simplified through Mirai. They will lead the planning and execution of activities required to address Change Impact Analysis gaps via business change, training, etc. Additionally, the Mirai Change Management Director will oversee the training and support of employees to help them adapt to new processes and systems, including the delivery of AI capabilities, while continuously monitoring and reporting on the progress of change initiatives. As Mirai launches, the Mirai Change Management Director will ensure readiness for go live across all functions. The ultimate goal is to achieve desired business outcomes, drive continuous improvement in change management practices, and maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction. This role is critical in ensuring the successful adoption of the business processes and technology platforms, minimizing disruption to business operations, and enhancing overall organizational efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Change Management Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive change management strategies for Mirai across 1UL & BG-led markets, and changes needed in BG & BU. Identify the scope of change, assess the impact on various departments and regions to develop strategies to minimize disruption. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address resistance and ensure successful adoption. As Mirai launches, ensure readiness for go live across all functions. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders across the global organisation to understand their needs and concerns, ensure they are kept informed, involved and supportive of the Mirai change initiatives Build strong relationships with senior leaders, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives. Conduct regular communication and feedback sessions to address any concerns and gather input Communication and Training: Develop and execute communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Design and deliver training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to changes of the new/ upgraded technology platforms, simplified/ standardised business processes and new AI capabilities. Monitor and Evaluate Change Initiatives: Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of Change Management efforts across each of the business processes in scope of Mirai. Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to continuously improve Change Management processes. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Change Management professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the change management team. Champion a culture of change within the organisation, promoting employee engagement and a desire to adopt simplified and standardised business processes underpinned by a new ERP system and further technology changes. Ensure contribution to new capability requirements in assessing the best way to land the change Market & BG/BU Support Work with markets to help them choose the right resources for local change activities Cost Management Ensure Budget allocated is rigorously managed ALL ABOUT YOU Relevant years of experience in IT of which 5+ years of experience working with markets/operations on technology delivery, process simplification Change Management experience in implementing technology projects and organisational change. ·Bachelor degree in engineering, or computer science required, and Masters/MBA an added advantage ·Experience building and managing diverse teams ·Ability to work with diverse cultures, both within team and stakeholders Cross-cultural awareness and ability to adapt to different working styles Good domain knowledge to be able to work with Platform Directors, and global Stakeholders to ensure alignment within and outside Unilever IT organizations. Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills Ability to bring consensus and influence decision-making at senior level. Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders across diverse cultures ERP implementation experience is an advantage. Location  In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025.
