Cleaner (Jubilee Campus)

Your role as a Cleaner: 

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who take pride in their work and and have excellent customer service skills.  

Based at the Jubilee Campus, main duties including providing both planned and reactive cleaning service and working both independently and as part of a team, cleaning a wide range of areas such as offices, laboratories, toilets, corridors, and stairwells and supporting the local cleaning team with covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning and any urgent requests/inquiries assigned on the day by the line manager.

As a member of our team, you will have a positive and energetic approach and be a colleague that the team look forward to working with and building strong relationships with others to accomplish tasks and shared goals. You will have a keen eye for detail and aim to deliver exceptional operational service and standards at all times and particularly in demanding and busy service times. 

Previous cleaning experience gained within a similar environment is desirable. Full training will be given.

Available Position:

Post 1- Hours of work are 15 per week, (5 shifts/3 hours each day mainly Monday to Friday) working between the hours of 6.00am and 9.00am, on a permanent contract, 52 weeks of the year basis including outside of term and student vacation periods). Flexibility will be required. 

Post 2- Hours of work are 15 per week, (5 shifts/3 hours each day mainly Wednesday to Sunday) working between the hours of 6.00am and 9.00am, on a permanent contract, 52 weeks of the year basis including outside of term and student vacation periods). Flexibility will be required. 

Post 3- Hours of work are 10 per week, (2 shifts/5 hours each day mainly Saturday and Sunday) working between the hours of 6.00am and 11.00am, on a permanent contract, 52 weeks of the year basis including outside of term and student vacation periods). Flexibility will be required. 

Post 4- Hours of work are 15 per week, (5 shifts/3 hours each day mainly Monday to Friday) working between the hours of 6.30pm and 9.30pm, on a permanent contract, 52 weeks of the year basis including outside of term and student vacation periods). Flexibility will be required.

The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to attend statutory training courses within 6 months commencing employment and any refresher training required as part of the role. The Estates and Facilities have planned training courses throughout the year and there is an option to attend either total of 5 days during a typical week, Monday to Friday or total of 4 days which are arranged on a set weekend dates, Saturday and Sunday, within the year. Further details will be given at the interview.
