The award-winning East Riding of Yorkshire Building Design Team is a busy, well-established, multi-disciplinary practice embedded within the Local Authority. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, to join the Building Design team on a permanent basis.
This position would ideally suit a candidate who is looking to step up to the next level or a project manager looking for a new challenge.
Due to the seniority of this position, you'll need recent extensive experience and preferably a relevant building or associated construction qualification.
The successful candidate will be required to take on the role of Project Manager on a number of large capital projects currently being delivered as part of the Council’s capital programme. This would range from scheme inception through to handover, liaising with various Stakeholders, building users, design team members and external consultants and contractors. The post holder, as an assistant principal, would also support junior senior members of the project management team on project delivery.
The position will involve a client facing role and in depth relationships with contractors so good communication skills and experience at presenting is a must. You will also be working within a team and multi-disciplinary aspect, so evidence of problem solving and co-operative working experience would be desirable.
An understanding of BIM is required, with Revit and AutoCAD being the main software in use. There will also be flexibility within working patterns with the ability to work from home and time spent in the office.
