Aon are currently recruiting for a Client Service Advisor (Account Handler) to join our specialist Real Estate Insurance team in Edinburgh. This is a hybrid role which can be based from our fantastic Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, or virtual working.

 

Aon is a leader in developing Real Estate solutions for Clients with property assets in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. We work with property investors, developers, fund and asset managers, providing custom insurance products and advice and help them to achieve three key objectives: identify and mitigate risk exposures via insurance solutions or other risk management initiatives, help deliver value for money to tenants and key partners and look to unlock real estate and corporate deals, reducing transaction cost/delay and improving competitive bid position.

What the day will look like
Working with Aon colleagues to ensure the highest level of service to each assigned ClientThis includes collaborating closely with Client Managers to fully understand the Client’s business and insurance requirements, attending client visits as required, communicating terms of settlement to ClientsManaging own small book of clients, referring to Client Manager where requiredMarketing and negotiating terms with insurers to achieve optimum solution for the ClientPreparation of marketing presentations, renewal reports and cover comparisonsCommunicating terms of settlement to Client, ensuring premiums are debited (and allocated appropriately where necessary) and assisting with maintenance of Aon’s credit control standardsProviding ongoing communication with the Client following queries and/or alterations, ensuring the Client Manager is kept appraised of developmentsEstablishing and developing effective working relationships with Insurers, providing the Client with comment re the cover, service and industry knowledge a specific Insurer could deliver to themIdentifying programme design improvements and revenue growth opportunities for ClientsEnsuring contract certainty is deliveredBe seen by colleagues as someone who is supportive and helpful, expertly representing Aon and their corporate objectives, and taking ownership of problems and their resolutionAligning with regulatory and other standards as advised by line management; responsible for working in accordance with the Aon Risk Management Framework, and compliance with Aon policies, including participation in the management of risks (inc completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
High level of knowledge of FCA principles and proceduresExperience in and understanding of the commercial insurance industry; knowledge of the Real Estate sector being an advantageOrganised, with the ability to prioritise so work is delivered accurately and on timeGood influencing, listening and interpersonal skills; ability to positive engage with Clients, colleagues and partnersAn adaptable, focused and self-disciplined approach with the aim to achieve resultsAbility to work efficiently within a structured process, co-ordinating activities within a cross-functional team, and displaying excellent decision making and problem solving skills
