We are looking for a detail-orientated and analytical Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud Platforms team as we build out our global capabilities in both Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Based within Bupa Group Functions. The role holder will support the Cloud Business Manager with financial operations of our Cloud Platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with managing and optimising cloud financial operations, bridging the gap between finance, cloud operations and engineering teams. You will be involved with managing cloud costs, improving financial visibility, and preparing advice on best practices for cloud resource utilisation, enabling cost-effective scaling and efficient cloud operations. How youâll help us make health happen: Cloud Cost Management Reporting: monitor and advise on cloud expenses across various platforms (Azure & GCP) enabling cost visualisation and optimisation through reporting. Cost Optimisation: Ensure application teams have actionable and insightful FinOps tasks available. Cloud Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate reports that track cloud spend, usage trends, cost allocations and credit draw downs. Cross-Market Collaboration: Facilitate monthly cost visualisation and optimisation workshops and reporting with Business Units. Provide support to cost centre owners for annual budget forecasts. FinOps Community: Raise FinOps awareness and improve FinOps maturity across the organisation through participation on the FinOps community of practice. Help shape and share FinOps training for tooling and process. Ad-hoc Support: Provide administrative support for Cloud Financial Operations (for example, but not limited to: managing platform related purchase orders, ensuring alignment of invoices and liaising with our finance business partners). Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: 2+ years in cloud financial operations, cloud cost management or financial analysis ideally in a regulated industry. Technical Skills: Good understanding of Public Cloud Platforms (ideally Azure or GCP) and their native cost management tools (Azure Cost Manager, Google Cloud Billing). Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in financial reporting tools (Excel or Power BI) to create insightful reports and dashboards. Experience with Apptio Cloudability is highly desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in cloud cost management information, reporting and analysis. Partnering skills & approach: Strong relationship building skills, using expertise and knowledge to guide and inform, curiosity to explore, understand and identify areas of further optimisation.
