Consultant - Industrial Permitting (Associate Level)

ERM is looking for an Environmental Permitting Consultant to join our rapidly growing permitting team. The role is required to support a range of critical projects for our data centre and wider industrial sector clients with environmental permitting and compliance matters as well as regulatory advice and support. The role requires working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting/Pollution Prevention Control regimes across the UK. Knowledge of Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS) would be a bonus. We are seeking candidates with experience in the consultancy, industry or regulatory sectors. Additional areas of experience that may be considered beneficial to the role are within air quality modelling, waste water management or the waste management industry. The consultant will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of working with environmental regulators to seek outcomes favourable to our clients. The ability to propose and support the client position underpinned by prior precedent or impact assessment is essential. Applicants with detailed knowledge of equivalent European regimes to those in the UK will also be considered.
