The Team and the Opportunity: Driving Excellence in Event Operations

The RX Global team is driven by a passion for creating unforgettable experiences for both attendees and exhibitors. Innovation, creativity, and collaboration are the cornerstones of their approach to delivering exceptional client services. This specific role of Continuous Improvement Manager offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact operational efficiency across centralized teams supporting a complex business structure, encompassing 8 core industry portfolios and multiple geographic centers.

The Role: Championing Continuous Improvement

Reporting to the Group Operations Director, the Continuous Improvement Manager will be instrumental in leading and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. This influential role is designed for an expert individual who can drive and track measurable efficiencies and improvements across critical business processes, focusing on time, effort, and quality of outputs. While initial projects are defined, the incumbent will be empowered to identify further opportunities, lead structured improvement initiatives, and equip team members with the necessary tools and confidence to enhance their work methods. A significant focus will be placed on exploring how off-the-shelf systems and emerging technologies, such as AI, can be leveraged for efficiency gains. Initially focused on Event Operations, the role presents exciting potential for growth into other functions and cross-functional improvement work.

Key Responsibilities and Advantages for Candidates:

  • Engaging Leadership: Champion and inspire a mindset of "better, faster, cheaper" continuous improvement. Establish frameworks, tools, and a common language to integrate continuous improvement into the daily culture. You will personally own project progress and outcomes, train and coach team members, and lead workshops to co-design improved workflows. This is a chance to develop strong leadership and coaching skills in a supportive environment.
  • Strategic Project Management: Validate and prioritize identified areas for improvement, and proactively seek out further opportunities within operational business processes. Lead subject matter experts to design and implement process improvements that deliver tangible time savings and quality enhancements. Collaborate with team leaders to standardize processes and documentation, ensuring long-term adoption and sustainability of improvements. This offers significant project ownership and the opportunity to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Technology Exploration: Investigate and propose how the latest technologies, including AI, can drive automation and achieve greater efficiencies. This is an excellent opportunity to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and apply them to real-world business challenges.
  • Impactful Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure benefits realization, such as hours saved and reduction in errors. Report progress and outcomes, including efficiency metrics, to senior leadership, providing visibility and recognition for your contributions.

What RX Global is Looking For:

RX Global seeks a proven influencer who is curious, collaborative, and approachable, with a knack for generating high levels of stakeholder engagement. Key requirements include:

  • Demonstrable success in delivering measurable improvements (time/cost/quality) within an office, service, or business operations environment.
  • The ability to lead through influence in a complex matrix environment, guiding project teams without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience in running engaging workshops, training, and coaching staff.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple small to medium-sized process improvement projects concurrently.
  • An analytical mindset coupled with confidence in data gathering and benefit tracking.
  • A balanced approach, combining analytical rigor with empathy for team dynamics and a solid understanding of change management principles.
  • The ability to maintain project momentum and drive results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Concise and effective communication skills, both face-to-face and in written reporting, with a high degree of emotional intelligence for navigating multi-cultural environments.
  • Educational qualifications to degree level (or equivalent experience) are essential.
  • Formal certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or Lean Competency System Level 2/3, are highly desirable.
  • Experience with process mapping tools and project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2).
  • Experience developing CI dashboards or reporting metrics.
  • Desirable experience includes using AI technologies for process improvement/automation and working within large, complex corporate environments.
