The University of Worcester is seeking an experienced and proactive Deputy Cleaning Manager to support the effective management of cleaning operations across the University. About the Role
Reporting to the Cleaning Services Manager, the Deputy Cleaning Manager will provide leadership and operational support to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused cleaning service. The role involves:
Assisting in the management, training, and motivation of cleaning staff, including temporary summer workers.Overseeing cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure service efficiency and consistency.Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments.Supporting the management of cleaning supplies, stock control, and supplier contracts.Contributing to the recruitment, training, and professional development of cleaning staff.Providing operational support for key university events, including Welcome Weekend and open days.Deputising for the Cleaning Services Manager as required.Selection Process

About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A relevant management qualification or equivalent vocational experience.Proven experience in staff management and the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service.A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH and risk assessments.Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.A full UK driving licence.Why Join Us?
