Role Overview

Global Futures & EMEA Equities Delta1/Derivatives Asset Class coverage.

The E-Trading Risk Management (ETRM) Team provides Second Line of Defence (2LOD) oversight of all E-Trading activities across the firm with most of that activity occurring in Citis Market trading businesses (FX, Equities, Rates, Spread Products, Futures and Commodities).

Working in partnership with each of the risk stripes – Market, Credit, Operational and Model Risk as well as Independent Compliance Risk Management, ETRM provides primary oversight of the firms adherence to its E-Trading Risk Management Framework, policy, and standards.

Reporting to the ETRM Global Head of Equities, this Risk Manager will provide leadership, guidance and independent review and challenge over Electronic Trading activities across the Global Futures Business and the EMEA Equities Delta1 and Derivatives Businesses.

What you'll do

The Risk Manager will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts for Asset classes, Technology and Risk groups within the ETRM team to assess the E-Trading Businesses compliance with the E-Trading Policy, providing guidance on best practice to achieve compliance with the E-Trading Risk Management Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintain rigorous 2LOD challenge to help ensure that Futures & Equities Delta1/Derivatives E-Trading activities occur within ETRMs Risk Management Framework and within business Risk Appetite, including:

Understand the inventory of Global Futures & EMEA Equities Delta1/Derivatives E-Trading Activities

Identify and categorize the risks and controls associated with all Futures E-Trading activities booked in Global Legal Entities

Identify and categorize the risks and controls associated with all Equities Delta1/Derivatives E-Trading activities booked in EMEA Legal Entities

Review and challenge of business governance metrics used to measure the effectiveness of the implementation of risk mitigating E-Trading Controls

Establish new and strengthen on-going relationships with key local stakeholders, including Trading Heads and Business Managers, and partner with senior Risk colleagues to drive effective implementation of the E-Trading Risk Management Framework

Represent ETRM in control processes such as the E-Trading Risk & Control Council (ET RCC) & New Product Approvals when new Futures & EMEA Equities Delta1/Derivatives E-Trading Activities and Strategies are being onboarded or changed

Working under the direction of the ETRM Global Head of Equities, provide cover for the EMEA Equities Cash Business

Work within theETRM team to ensure the policy addresses Global Futures & EMEA Equities Delta1/Derivatives specific market and regulatory considerations

Participate in key regional and Legal Entity E-Trading forums

What we'll need from you

Demonstrated years of related E-Trading experience in front office or risk management capacity

Experience in one or more primary risk stripes (Market, Credit, Operational Risk, Model Risk) is preferred

Strong knowledge of E-Trading specific regulation in EMEA.

Demonstrated ability to challenge 1LOD in the effectiveness of their risk and control framework

Proven track record in working with and presenting to local regulators preferred

Excellent English written and communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior management and other stakeholders to successfully implement and deliver change

Competence in portraying complex content in a clear, concise, and compelling manner

Experience with and solid understanding of E-Trading technology including system architecture, networks, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), testing and QA very desirable
