The role

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of supporting the Royal Navy. This is your chance to work on complex warships and auxiliaries, delivering engineering solutions that keep fleets operational and secure. You’ll develop through-life support strategies, contribute to innovative engineering projects and make a tangible impact on national security.

Day-to-day, you’ll play a pivotal role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, driving the development of Class Managed Equipment support solutions and delivering essential technical expertise throughout the equipment’s lifecycle.

Providing engineering support for Class Managed Equipment throughout its lifecycle Engaging with OEMs and suppliers to ensure technical integrity Reviewing build programme artefacts to identify risks for in-service delivery Supporting cost modelling and engineering assurance activities Acting as a key engineering point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Electrical Engineer

Proven mechanical or electrical engineering experience delivering outputs for equipment and systems Strong communication skills with experience writing technical reports Ability to innovate and solve complex problems Self-starter who thrives on responsibility

Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer

NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
