  • Complex Troubleshooting: You'll hone your problem-solving skills by troubleshooting a variety of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with a particular emphasis on advanced diagnostics of PLCs and VFDs in challenging offshore conditions. Experience with VFD systems is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Documentation Interpretation: Your ability to accurately interpret electrical block and termination diagrams, installation drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuit prints will be essential.
  • Power Systems Management: You'll work with single-phase and three-phase AC power distribution systems, always prioritizing safe isolation and adherence to best practices.
  • Promoting a Safety Culture: A commitment to safety awareness and environmental compliance is paramount in all your activities.
  • Diverse Working Environments: Be prepared to work in various settings, including workshops, offshore rigs, and shipyards, with potential for occasional international travel.
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Meticulous completion of all job-specific paperwork is required.

Advantages for Your Career Path:

  • Hands-On Experience: Gain practical, in-depth experience with sophisticated industrial equipment in demanding operational environments.
  • Valuable Certifications: While preferred, obtaining certifications like CompEx (EX01-EX04) and gaining experience with hazardous area compliance (ATEX/IECEx) will significantly enhance your marketability.

Key Considerations for Candidates:

  • Educational Foundation: An Associate degree or 3+ years of vocational training in electrical/electronic technology (or equivalent) is required.
  • Experience Level: While 5+ years of experience in related electrical/electronic fields is preferred, the company is open to candidates with varying experience levels, indicating a willingness to invest in promising talent.
