This role is open to those about to graduate from the University of Leeds this summer 2025 only.
This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a University of Leeds Class of 2025 graduate seeking a 12-month Graduate Internship? Would you like to support students and graduates from underrepresented backgrounds to succeed in their careers?
We are recruiting two Employability & Progression Assistants to join the University of Leeds Careers Service in September 2025 for a period of 12-months. These roles provide direct support to widening participation students and graduates, encouraging them to engage with our employability services and empowering them to succeed in their career development.
Working as part of our Central Careers team, you will help deliver a programme of enhanced careers support tailored for Plus Programme students; those who are underrepresented at the University and/or may have protected characteristics.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Careers Service, as well as with wider University teams such as the Plus Programme, Disability Services, and Leeds University Union (LUU), ensuring that careers and employability support is targeted, inclusive, and impactful.
We actively welcome and encourage applications from individuals from underrepresented and widening participation backgrounds. Your insight as a recent graduate will be highly valuable in shaping our approach to enhanced careers provision, and these roles offer a meaningful opportunity to make a difference.
These posts are normally based on the University of Leeds campus but are currently delivered through a hybrid working model of three days on campus and two days working remotely.
You will receive full training for the role; however, we are looking for individuals with strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students and graduates.
