In a crucial role in the Global Employer Brand & Attraction team, youll have the opportunity to bring your deep employer branding experience and passion for creative storytelling to help shape how we reach and inspire in a rapidly evolving world - now and into the future. Youll lead the development and execution of market-leading employer brand strategies that position Barclays as an employer of choice across global markets.

With hands-on experience in shaping and landing strategic campaigns from within a corporate environment, youll bring insights-driven thinking and creativity to how we engage talent—particularly for challenging audience segments and early careers. As a trusted advisor to senior talent and business stakeholders and a role model in the wider team, youll present ideas and strategies with confidence and clarity and apply your skills to see them through to activation of consistent, high-quality experiences.

To be successful as an Employer Brand & Attraction Lead, you should have experience with:

Considerable background in developing and executing data-led/ measurable global employer brand campaign strategies within a corporate setting

Experience of leading early careers attraction campaigns

Campaign leadership

Senior stakeholder engagement and management

Attention to detail & considerable presentation/ communication skills

Love the challenge of working on impactful global projects

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Note that this is a maternity leave cover, fixed term contract for 12 months. You will be in our Glasgow office. Your full-time role will be hybrid with days in office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Purpose of the role

To plan, develop and implement brand strategies, based on research and analysis, that align with the overall business objectives to protect and enhance its market presence and position

Accountabilities

Development and maintenance of brand assets and guidelines that define how the brand looks, sounds and feels across all touchpoints.Collaboration with creative teams, advertising agencies, and other partners (internal and external) to create compelling and effective brand campaigns that enhance brand awareness, loyalty and engagement.Analyse brand performance KPIs, brand competitiveness and product trends in the marketplace.Budget management (if applicable) for brand-related activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and a positive return on investment.

They will lead collaborative, multi-year assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions..Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
