Youâll be leading a team of 34 professionals who are pretty nifty with a spanner, a mop and a paint brush â all of which are equally as important. Youâll love having the responsibility of supporting, advising and managing the team on a daily basis to maintain and repair our Lillyhall based fleet of 82 buses, where youâll also have the opportunity to manage our buildings and plant equipment. It a really important role within our depot, so weâll trust you to ensure vehicles are presented to the high standards that our customers want â and thus youâll have autonomy over resource management, stock and people. That means youâll be getting stuck into ordering, managing inventory, recruiting, training, health & safetyâ¦so variety will be aplenty! And it goes without saying weâll give you support, training and development wherever you need to be a brilliant Engineering Manager. Perhaps youâre happy sticking at Engineering Manager level and that fine by us, but if you do want to progress, weâll support you every step of the way. Next stop on the career ladder is Engineering Director â one of the most senior roles in our business. Youâll have the opportunity to work alongside our Engineering Director gaining exposure to work which will develop your skills and experience to allow you to progress your career further. People management wonât be completely new to you. You donât have to be an existing engineering manager, but youâll need to be able to evidence of how youâve managed teams, irrespective of their size.
