Engineering Technician (Inhalations) - 1 year Secondment / Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

Position Summary You will keep site equipment, utilities and building services safe and reliable. You will work closely with engineers, operators and quality colleagues to diagnose faults, complete maintenance tasks and support projects. Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Carry out preventative maintenance, routine checks and repairs on production equipment, utilities and building systems. - Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to reduce downtime and keep production running. - Perform testing and calibration of critical systems. - Support installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment or modifications. - Complete engineering work orders, maintenance records and required documentation in line with procedures. - Contribute to small projects and continuous improvement activities to raise reliability and efficiency. Please Note: This role is currently budgeted for circa 1-year in duration (either as secondment or as a Fixed Term Contract) Why you? Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals: - Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship (for example Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent practical experience). - Hands-on experience in maintenance, fault-finding and repair activities. - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice or regulated manufacturing environments. - Experience using maintenance systems such as SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System. - Good numeracy and clear written records skills. - Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: - Multi-skilled experience across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or instrumentation disciplines. - Experience with automation and process control systems (for example Siemens or Rockwell). - Experience in calibration, commissioning and validation activities. - Experience working shift patterns, including early/late or 24/7 operations. - Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and root cause analysis. - Good communication and collaborative working skills. Working pattern and location This role is on-site in the United Kingdom. Please Note that the Shift pattern is for 24/7 shift (4 days on / 4 days off) & includes working at night and on weekends.
