The purpose of this role will be to assist and support the Community Lead for Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre, Translational Medical Sciences who is also the Gastrointestinal and Liver Disorders Theme Lead of the NIHR-funded Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, in carrying out academic research in the Nottingham Digestive Disease Centre.
The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term basis with end date on 31/01/2026.
This position will be especially suited to candidates with an interest in providing a professional Executive Assistant service within a dynamic, multifaceted research programme. This post offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre, supporting world-leading research.Applicants must be highly motivated and self-driven, with excellent organisational skills. The successful candidate will ideally have considerable experience in some of the following areas:Maintaining and managing diary arrangements throughout the academic year; communicating details of meetings to relevant staff; production and distribution of minutes/notes of meetings; literature searches, assisting in the facilitation of large grant proposals, facilitating clinical trials administration, ethics and governance in conjunction with the NHS and the BRC Business Manager for the Community Lead’s research studies and experience of organizing travel, meetings, visitor hospitality.The School of Medicine recognize the importance of continuous professional development and therefore the importance of providing opportunities, structured support and encouragement to engage in professional development each year.
