We’re currently recruiting an IT Field Service/2nd Line Engineer to provide exceptional on-site technical support across South West England, ensuring 2nd line helpdesk calls are responded to efficiently. You’ll be tasked with maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure at customer sites, swiftly resolving technical problems to minimise any negative impact on operations. You'll work independently and effectively, delivering comprehensive reports on completed tasks while upholding exceptional standards of customer service. Our ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, with experience of working with software, hardware, networking and systems administration. Your excellent customer service skills, problem solving expertise and ability to prioritise workloads will ensure that customer needs are responded to in a timely manner. • Diagnostics and resolution of hardware, software and network related issues. • Conduct asset and equipment audits. • Set up and configure IT systems for customer projects. • Pick up and respond to customer tickets. • Take ownership of escalated incidents received from 1st line. • Provide in-depth support for complex technical issues. • Conduct regular systems checks/audits to ensure security patches and software updates are applied. • Travel will be required for on-site support. • Advanced knowledge of operating systems and hardware. • Proficient in troubleshooting complex software issues, networking problems and remote desktop support. • Familiarity with virtual environments and cloud-based solutions. • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, and Office 365 administration. • Previous experience in a 2nd Line IT support role. • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills. • Hands on experience with IT infrastructure.
