Finance Administrator

Are you detail-oriented, highly organised, and adept at managing financial processes with precision? Do you thrive in roles where you build and maintain strong working relationships across various departments? If so, we invite you to apply for our Finance Administrator role, focused on supporting Primary Care placement activities.

You will be the first point of contact for general finance queries, and notably those relating to procurement, and provide generalist financial support to the School. You will support delivery of aspects of the School's financial requirements related to Primary care in line with service level agreements and University financial regulations. 

As a key team member, you will handle financial processes related to student claims and invoices for Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and their associated GP surgeries. Your role will ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant management of transactional expenses, contributing directly to the success of our Primary Care initiatives.

This role is based across the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University campuses in Canterbury.

As Finance Administrator you can expect to be involved in:

Supporting the Finance Officer/Manager as required in matters related to Primary Care.Processing and reconciling student claims for Primary Care placements.Managing payment of invoices for PCNs and GP surgeries in line with service agreements and University financial regulations.Providing efficient and effective support to the Finance Team, administering a range of transactional financial processes to ensure the School's financial administration meets University regulations, including expenses claims, sales invoices, hospitality cards and online store items; ensuring they are recorded and reconciled correctly. Arranging relevant travel relating to Primary Care activities for the School.Administering procurement processes to ensure the School's financial administration meets University guidelines and financial regulations; ensuring they are recorded and reconciled correctly.Acting as first point of contact for general finance queries ensuring excellent customer service is provided. Taking ownership of queries by ensuring resolution or escalation.

What will you bring to the role?

Foundation level financial qualification (e.g. AAT) actively studying towards full qualification, or willingness to undertake; or equivalent GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages and a good understanding of databases and spreadsheets Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently with a range of people at all levels.
