As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with the business, Investor Relations, and Group to provide expert financial support and guidance on quarterly and interim results. You will lead the quarterly results announcement for the UK Corporate business, explain key performance drivers to senior management, and identify risks and opportunities. Your role includes competitor analysis, ensuring governance for external disclosures, and offering ad-hoc analysis and insights to the business. You will also support best practices in finance and business performance areas.
In this role, you will articulate business performance and key trends through deep understanding and insight, producing external materials such as Results Announcements, Cluster Packs, and Q&A documents. You will support the UKCB CFO and the business with any ad-hoc analysis, understanding key trends with analytical insights. Your wide stakeholder engagement across the business and finance will deliver strong business partnering support. You will ensure robust governance for all external disclosures and be a trusted partner in all key decisions relating to external results, influencing actions to ensure the business is taking corrective measures. Understanding the primary income drivers of key business areas, both current and proposed, you will drive business performance and influence decision-making through key insights.
To be successful as a Finance Business Partner, you will have experience with:
• Accountancy or advanced finance qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) (or substantial progress to completion).
• Extensive experience in both financial management accounting and commercial decision support and knowledge of the banking and financial markets sector.
• Advanced understanding of financial income and cost drivers reporting and analysis. Exposure to Planning process and cycle
• Considerable analytical skills and the ability to effectively summarise and interpret complex data.
