We have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Systems Assistant to join our Finance Operations team at the Support Centre in Speke.
This brand-new role has been created to maximise the potential of our finance systems and support our ongoing process improvements.
Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you will provide vital systems support to the finance function, helping to design and implement improvements that increase efficiency and automation across key finance processes. This high-impact role offers excellent visibility across the organisation and the chance to drive meaningful change.
What this role is about: Having a solid understanding of finance processes and experience in the processing side is important for this role. However, this position is not focused on transactional or routine processing tasks. Instead, you will work closely with our finance systems to improve how we use data, reporting, and automation to make the finance function more efficient and effective.
Key responsibilities include:
Understanding end-to-end finance operations processes, including system integrations and controls, to support effective systems management Supporting maintenance of master data within Oracle Fusion, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness Identifying and implementing finance process enhancements focused on automation and system-driven efficiencies Testing new system solutions rigorously and managing user adoption and change effectively Assisting with documentation and review of financial and operational processes to maintain robust controls Continuously review and assist users with new system processes, including managing change effectively Producing timely and accurate KPI reports by analysing data flows within finance systems Collaborating closely with third-party providers to resolve system issues promptlyOur ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with Oracle Fusion or similar finance ERP systems Proven ability to manage small-scale projects from initiation to completion Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to systems and process improvements Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and challenge constructively Advanced Excel skills including data manipulation and reporting Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills A self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively Desirable but not essential: Working towards or holding an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) — study support available!We offer a range of fantastic benefits including staff discount at B&M and Heron Foods, access to our colleague portal with additional savings on retail, hospitality, and more.
