A well-maintained garden significantly contributes to the overall quality of life for residents, making the care home a more inviting and pleasant place to live Youâll help us make health happen by: Maintain the gardens and grounds of the Village, or other company property, safely and to a high standard of attractiveness within the agreed plan Maintaining all grassed areas including mowing, trimming, weed control, repairs and feeding. Ensuring all trees and shrubs are maintained, including trimming, pruning, and assessing stability. Maintaining all flower beds, boarder plants, hanging baskets and potted plants. Providing general maintenance, including sweeping and weed removal on all paved areas, removing any litter and raking leaves. Responsible for keeping the tool sheds and storage areas tidy and maintaining all garden equipment and tools. Supporting the Maintenance Operative as required with decorating duties and basic maintenance support. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: A full clean driving license and hands on experience in grounds maintenance with a passion for gardening, preferably with a background of fine turf and lawns. Experience within a large commercial estate, knowledge of horticulture statutory requirements and a gardening or horticultural qualification would be advantageous. Friendly and approachable, you have excellent customer service skills and an ability to work well as part of a large team.
