Job Title: Global Logistics Director – Warehouse Robotics & Automation Location: 100VE or Kingston Work-Level: 3X JOB PURPOSE This role leads the logistics transformation agenda and performance delivery in Warehouse robotics & automation and Personal Care Logistics. This role reports to the Global Customer Operations Excellence Lead and partners the Chief Product Supply Officer of Personal Care. This role has significant leadership content and is a member of the Global Customer Operational Excellence LT as well as the Global Personal Care Supply Chain LT. RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Robotics & Automation Lead the strategy, market engagement, project pipeline and delivery of Unilever warehouse robotics & automation program and deliver resilience, service improvement and cost efficiencies in our warehousing operations. Bring the “outside in” perspective through industry best practices, technological advancements and AI and use the same to “step up” the game changing transformation in Unilever warehouse operations. Evaluate the feasibility of automation opportunities and prepare a viable business case in collaboration with technology partners, 3PLs and Unilever capex and logistics procurement teams, considering tangible as well as intangible value unlocks, technology development and run costs. Prioritize the automation opportunities and create a strong project pipeline considering the size of the prize, capability readiness and change management. Project manage the initiatives through a close connect with market logistics teams, procurement teams and our partners, ensure successful deployment without any service disruption. Closely monitor the deployments and ensure value delivery in line with business case. Personal Care Logistics Lead Partner the Chief Product Supply Officer of Personal Care, understand the business strategy and priorities and accordingly, create and align the logistics priorities, programs and deployment plan across markets for the Personal Care business, with a specific focus on Logistics Net Productivity. Lead the Direct dispatch and Design to Distribute programs for Personal Care through engagement with market customer operations teams, personal care R&D, sourcing units and maximize value unlock through a sharp focus and prioritization of initiatives and landing them on-time and in full. Be a part of the Personal Care network strategy and optimization working group, bring the logistics inputs into this and help achieve an E2E optimized future-fit sourcing network for Personal Care. Be a part of the “Make it Profitable” steerco as well as the working group and support cross-functional initiatives on savings that need logistics support as well as obtain R&D inputs and support for Design to Distribute Program. Be a part of the Quarterly Master Plan reviews of Personal Care sourcing units and help optimize factory logistics operations as well as maximize direct despatches. Be a part of the E2E Synchronization working group and help deliver lead-time reduction, resilience as well responsiveness in domestic as well as international logistics movements. ALL ABOUT YOU EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS : Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management Relevant experience in Supply Chain, with experience in Warehouse management. Experience in leading multi-site warehouse operations, 3PL management and performance delivery Expertise in Warehouse design, Robotics & Automation technologies and Warehouse management systems Experience in managing multi-country regional/ global roles. Expertise in leading and managing large, complex global transformation programs. LEADERSHIP: You are an inclusive motivator of people. Location  In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
