As a Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer specialising in Google Cloud Platform networking, youâll play a pivotal role in developing, optimising and operating the networking foundations that underpin our transformation. Our core technology focus is on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Weâre looking for an experienced, motivated and innovative Cloudâfocused DevOps Engineer to join our Google Cloud team. Youâll be an inspiring, handsâon engineer with experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering and a history of driving the delivery of technical platforms in enterprise environments. What needed to be considered for this role? Engineering experience building, configuring and optimising GCP networking at enterprise scale. Strong knowledge of: Dedicated Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, Google DNS, Cloud NAT, IAM and VPCâSC. Basic understanding of GCP connected workloads such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Storage and Google Data/AI products. Handsâon project experience across network deployment, scaling, optimisation, sustaining engineering and technology refresh. Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Git, Terraform Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, Harness and Jenkins. Ability to handle incidents and problems, advancing solutions to improve reliability. Experience reviewing and providing feedback on peer code changes. Proven ability to develop, deploy and own endâtoâend product lifecycle within an engineering team. Commitment to delivering engineering outcomes in line with Group Controls and Security requirements. About you Proficient in maintaining enterpriseâscale GCP networking and crossâcloud/onâprem connectivity. Able to work closely with Networks, Systems and Software Engineering teams to ensure smooth and fast delivery of new designs and capabilities. Experience with Bash and/or Python for infrastructure development. Strong Terraform proficiency. Able to engineer GCP networking products using Infrastructure as Code to enable new features. Comfortable collaborating with architecture, business and engineering teams. Naturally curious, proactive and motivated to continuously develop with modern tooling and methods. Weâll be excited if you have: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. Google Cloud Professional certification (DevOps, Network or Security). Intermediate Python development skills and experience hosting APIs. Experience writing guardrails in HashiCorp Sentinel. Familiarity with Egress proxies, IP management, onâprem networking, hardware firewalls, Infoblox, cloud proxy and Entra ID. Experience with highâtraffic monitoring systems such as Dynatrace and Google Cloud Monitoring. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Why work for us?
