HBLB Research Fellow in Biological Signal Processing

We are now seeking an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biological Signal Processing to work within a diverse research team under Prof Jeevartnam’s supervision. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team at Surrey and will be primarily engaged in a project aiming to develop computational algorithms for the prediction of cardiac rhythm abnormalities.  

A major component of this post will involve data collection, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation. The successful candidate will also be expected to prepare periodic reports for the funding body and be directly involved in grant administration. 

The candidate will be responsible for managing their own time within the context of their role, the requirements and objectives associated with their position. There will be a need to undertake tasks that may not be directly related to the project but where the candidate’s expertise may be useful. 

About you

Expertise in machine learning and coding is essential in addition to a thorough understanding of large-scale data processing using computational approaches. A proven track record in these areas is also essential, with a previous publication track record in biological signal processing being desirable.
