This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join DHL Supply Chain as a Permanent, Full-Time HSE Multi-Site Business Partner. While the role is remote, it requires significant travel, with approximately 75% expected within the UK. This position offers a chance to be at the forefront of safety strategy within a critical and unique environment – the HMPPS estate.

What You Can Expect in This Role:

  • Strategic Leadership: You will be responsible for leading and managing the safety strategy across the HMPPS estate, ensuring comprehensive compliance with all relevant safety regulations and HMPPS-specific standards.
  • Operational Excellence: A key focus will be driving standardization and consistency across DHL Workshop environments, promoting uniformity in safety practices.
  • Culture Champion: You will actively promote a proactive "Safety First" culture, championing continuous improvement initiatives and striving for outstanding safety performance.
  • Team Development: This role involves direct leadership of safety teams, with an emphasis on fostering high performance and supporting professional development within your team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers and stakeholders will be crucial for delivering collaborative and effective safety solutions.

Key Considerations for Candidates:

  • Essential Qualification: A NEBOSH General Certificate is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Logistics Safety Experience: Proven experience in health and safety within a logistics environment is essential.
  • Travel Commitment: Be prepared for significant regional and national travel as dictated by operational needs.
  • Unique Working Environment: Comfort and capability in working within a prison environment is a critical requirement.
  • Leadership Track Record: Strong experience in line management, with a demonstrable history of developing and motivating teams, is highly valued.
