WHAT TO EXPECT
JLR are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage System Validation & Verification Lead engineer, to join our team and spearhead the development of High Voltage (HV) systems for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HV system validation within the automotive industry, technical expertise in power electronics, and a passion for innovative problem-solving.
The HV System Validation Lead Engineer will play a key role in verifying and validating the design of the electrical architectures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving the project forward using Agile methodologies.
In this role, you'll verify and sign-off the HV system functionalities for our future JLR PHEV & BEV products.
You'll collaborate closely with Hardware & Software System Design teams to develop tailored validation & verification solutions for specific vehicle architectures.
This is a key role that has cross functional interfaces which will play a pivotal part in ensuring all key metrics and deliverables for HV system Validation & Verification are met.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and validation of HV systems for BEV and PHEV platforms, including power distribution, charging systems, and energy storage systems. Create test cases that will ensure the reliable operation of the HV system. Develops test methods to be used from engineering specifications and run the tests. Adopt and support a structured problem-solving approach on various issue investigations and issue reported by cross functional & central software integration teams. Compile accurate technical reports for DV tests as evidence for system design & feature sign-off and communicated clearly to all stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge of various Propulsion Systems and its Concepts (BEV, PHEV). Ability to develop test cases from requirements. Working knowledge on Vector tools like CANalyser. Knowledge of formal problem-solving techniques. Results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment.
