Job Description JOB TITLE: Head of Commercial Performance & Analytics LOCATION(S): Leeds, Bristol, London, Manchester or Halifax SALARY: From £104,992 for non London based colleagues. This is a critical leadership role responsible for delivering strategic business insights that underpin effective strategic decision-making and robust business management. This role drives customer and competitor insights to enable leading propositions and fair value for customers, ensuring commercial returns for the bank. It also supports the business with its wider strategic objectives. Here are just a few of the key responsibilities... Market & Customer Insight Engage with senior collaborators across the business, maintaining strong visibility and influence, while staying closely attuned to competitor activity and broader market trends to inform strategic decision-making. Significant knowledge on competitor trends and market dynamics to shape Everyday Banking strategy, translating insights into actionable initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial Analytics, Customer Insights, Group Strategy) to align on strategic direction and performance goals. Take the lead in shaping the insights strategy and executive storytelling. Performance & Analytics Drive commercial insight capability across PCA and Overdrafts, using data tools to inform business decisions and enhance customer understanding. Own performance reporting and forecasting for deposits, lending, and key financial metrics (NII, OOI, capital, impairments), including quarterly planning. Develop and optimise reporting frameworks, seeing opportunities for automation and efficiency. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial Performance and Analytics team. What you’ll need... Business & Commercial Insight: Understands external market context and how it impacts the Group strategy. Uses marketplace knowledge and a strong network across the business to make key decisions for the Group. Challenges business decisions that do not demonstrate alignment to the Group strategy. Uses experience to manage the delivery of financial improvement and business development initiatives. Data Literacy: Stays updated with the latest data trends and anticipates new data analysis requirements for the Group. Develops data literacy strategies and best practices and learning to be adopted across the Group to drive data literacy capability. Critical Thinking: Constantly seeks to challenge own assumptions for weaknesses, logic and biases. Uses innovation, expertise and deep knowledge of the Group and Industry to anticipate future problems, coaches others and take mitigating action. Evaluates solutions and makes changes to increase effectiveness of the solutions as required.
