As a Housekeeping Supervisor, your role is to support the Facilities Support Manager and the Housekeeping Deputy Manager in all housekeeping operations, laundry and waste management. To lead and support staff to ensure the hospital is clean and well maintained, is responsible for delivering an infection free environment including Pennant Mews and High Street Kensington offices. Youâll help us make health happen by: To actively ensure the delivery of a quality housekeeping service through effective deployment of available resources across all departments within the Hospital and Pennant Mews and offices in High Street Kensington to achieve the highest possible standard of cleanliness and environment for patients, visitors, and staff at all times. Assist the planning of work schedules by leading the team and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a smooth operation to meet and exceed expectations of a first-class service. Maintain the housekeeping budget in terms of manpower and inventory and provide detailed information of costs and reasoning. To develop recruitment strategy that actively looks to improve service and cleaning results. Coach and develop the team through ongoing training. Review and update existing training program in line with changes in procedures. Support recruitment of staff and ensure induction and training for all new housekeeping staff members. To ensure team members are kept up to date with all policies and procedures utilising effective communication methods and coach individuals when necessary to ensure compliance. Ensure that the holiday and regular rota meets the needs of the business by taking into consideration the dynamics of the business. Proactively identify holiday/absence issues through rota management. To continually monitor the performance of team members to ensure all qualitative and quantitative targets are met and service levels are achieved. To be responsible for performance conversations with staff members utilising the performance conversations framework. Ensure that all queries are handled within agreed time frame regardless of the nature of the query. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Housekeeping Supervisory experience of 2 years+ Good communication skills Good organisational skills Able to deal with conflict and complaints Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
