Housing Officer

Glasgow

£35,137 (rising to £36,986 after 12 months subject to satisfactory performance)

37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer to join our team based in Glasgow. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality housing management services are delivered to our residents with a focus on making a real difference to their lives. This is a varied opportunity that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services.

The role of Housing Officer will include:

Delivering a high-quality housing management service to tenants, partners and key stakeholders Ensuring arrears targets are met, and allocating void and new let properties Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases Completing estate management weekly inspections Identifying shortfalls in service delivery and putting plans of resolution into place Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff to ensure business needs are met Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for all housing management activities

Skills and experiences:

Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within housing Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation Proven experience of delivery high quality tenancy services Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
