3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis based in Cheltenham to provide on-site technical support for server infrastructure and LAN/WAN networks.</p> <p></p> <p dir='ltr'><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems that 1st or 2nd Line Support cannot handle.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Troubleshoot and resolve high-level networking problems, analyse and resolve system hardware defects, ensuring system reliability and performance.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Maintain and optimise the organisation & servers, networks, virtualised environments (Hyper- V, VMware ESXi), storage systems (SAN/NAS), and other infrastructure components.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Maintain and manage network security, performance, monitoring, and optimisation of our systems</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain complete documentation</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Supporting IT teams with advanced technical expertise, from safeguarding to network enhancements</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Working with your IT colleagues, ensure that backups of all business systems are fully managed, maintained, documented and disaster recovery process procedures are regularly reviewed and tested</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Adherence to all Group Information Security policies and procedures in all aspects of your job role</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure service excellence is delivered at all times</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Provide on-call services as part of a shift rotation pattern</p> </li> </ul> <p></p><p dir='ltr'><b>Essential</b></p> <ul> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>An understanding of Firewalls, Networking technologies, and Load Balancers.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Understanding network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security best practices.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across diverse systems,</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>infrastructure, and architecture, including but not limited to Microsoft AD, Group Policy, Windows Desktop & Windows Server OS (2012, 2016, 2022), DNS, DHCP, SCCM & MECM.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>PowerShell scripting, Linux administration & SAN storage support</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Virtualisation Technologies and especially in VMware/Hyper-V.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Experience in NetApp storage systems and management</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Previous experience in an
