Inclusion and Belonging Manager 

Circa £60,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

Were looking for an Inclusion and Belonging Manager to join our People team. Well look to you to hit the ground running using your skills and knowledge to produce and deliver interventions to meet our ambitious and transformative Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) goals. Youll have a strong understand of structural inequality and have an ambition to create an inclusive culture where all people can thrive and meet their full potential.

 

What youll do

Be responsible for a number of different projects, including designing and delivering D&I interventions, communicating a compelling narrative around activity and progress and developing the knowledge and skills of managers and colleagues Visit different sites, including our stores and funeral homes, to develop local D&I goals and plans and align activity to our overall strategy, including supporting the activity of diversity networks  Educate and inform colleagues, working with a variety of different teams to support them in delivering their objectives  Focus on data led evidence for areas of disproportionate impact or disparities  Work closely with the People team and key internal partners on implementing and developing activity aligned to the principles of the D&I strategy  Be an expert in a broad number of inclusion topics, seeking out current external thinking and trends and applying that knowledge to the work done internally  Champion Co-op externally, working with external partnerships, building our reputation as an inclusive employer Encourage positive systemic change that integrates inclusion into processes, policies, and procedures that impacts on the colleague experience and ultimately leads to a more inclusive and representative workforce 

 

This role would suit people who have

A background in utilising D&I data to deliver demonstrable change A working knowledge of diversity and inclusion that blends practical expertise with awareness of current trends in effective practice  The ability to develop and deliver training to a variety of colleagues across the business  A strong knowledge of how structural inequality affects an organisation and the methods that can be engaged to mitigate its impact  The ability to analyse data to help develop intelligent plans with measurable outcomes  Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage relationships with a range of internal and external partners
