The Digital Education Service (DES) at the University of Leeds is at the forefront of transforming teaching and learning through innovative digital solutions. Our pioneering service is committed to enhancing the educational experience for students and faculty alike by integrating cutting-edge technologies and pedagogical strategies. With a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity, the Digital Education Service develops and delivers a wide range of online courses and digital resources that extend learning opportunities beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Our work supports the University's strategic objectives to provide flexible, high-quality education and to expand its global reach and impact. Through collaboration with academic departments and external partners, the service leverages the latest in digital education research to ensure that Leeds remains a leader in delivering exceptional, research-informed teaching in a digital age.
The Digital Education Enhancement (DEE) team in DES is the cornerstone of our mission to revolutionise the student learning experience through innovative technology. Comprised of expert Learning Technologists stationed across various faculties, the DEE team acts as both practitioners and advisors, pioneering the integration of cutting-edge technology with modern educational practices. Our approach is deeply rooted in robust learning theories, supported by a wealth of empirical evidence that guides the effective use of learning technologies. We strive to harmonise the latest in technology with evolving learning theories and the practical aspects of educational practice, fostering a collaborative environment with academic staff. This partnership aims to create a seamless, engaging, and enriching learning journey for students, making education more interactive, accessible, and impactful. As we navigate the future of digital education, our team is dedicated to implementing digital solutions that not only meet current educational demands but also anticipate and shape the evolving landscape of learning.
As a Learning Technologist Intern, you'll be an integral part of our Faculty-based teams, committed to supporting staff in order to ensure students benefit from exceptional educational experiences enriched by sector-leading digital resources, pedagogies, and technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in digital education, develop key professional skills, and work with a wide range of learning technologies. Your contributions will help shape the future of teaching and learning at the University of Leeds, making a significant impact on our academic community. This is your chance to explore digital careers in an environment that values innovation, creativity, and the power of technology to transform education.
