Were looking for a Lead Service Designer to join our wider Digital Technology & Data team at Co-op on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Manchester. In this role, youll play a key part in creating products and services that provide value to our members. This is a hybrid opportunity, with occasional in-person team meetings in the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As a Lead Service Designer at Co-op, youll help to lead and shape service design, working closely with our product teams to make sense of complex systems. If youre experienced at aligning user experience with business objectives, this is a great chance for you to help us use digital technologies to make a real difference.
What youll do
Lead the strategic and ongoing improvement of services used by our customers and members Research, design, and test end-to-end services Create service journey and process maps Champion a data-informed approach to service design by collaborating across teams to identify and prioritise appropriate metrics, ensuring services deliver measurable value Make accessibility considerations a priority in your service design decision-making Collaborate with Delivery and Engineering colleagues and look for ways to continuously improve our ways of working Help to establish a service design community of practice that meets regularly to share knowledge and experienceThis role would suit people who have
Experience working as a Service Designer within an agile, multi-disciplinary environment Experience of mentoring and coaching other Designers and supporting their development Experience using measurement frameworks Strong knowledge of service design methods The ability to use research to analyse user behaviour and motivations Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to share technical information with non-technical audiences Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusivelyWe know that some candidates are less likely to apply for a role if they dont meet all the criteria in the job description.
