WHAT TO EXPECT
The Body Engineering Central System Integration team at JLR is expanding to create the next generation of modern luxury vehicles. Our mission is to continuously align and manage the software integration and feature ramp-up of our body systems. We are an inclusive team operating with an agile mindset to rapidly deliver great innovation for our customers.
As part of the Software Management and Quality Chapter, you will plan software releases to achieve the required maturity level of integrated Body systems for each programme milestone. This includes coordination of the Feature, Function, Platform Service, and Software content to deliver cutting-edge technology. You will work with relevant Engineering teams to identify gaps and threat spot gaps in feature delivery within Body Engineering. This will also include early identification of opportunities for introducing and delivering features into future vehicle programs, ensuring seamless functionality across the vehicle.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate end-to-end process of software releases, including pack release dates, delivery tracking, and deviation management at the domain level. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to prioritize high-value development and ensure understanding and delivery of the latest release plans. Ensure Systems and Software Engineering and feature delivery processes are followed. Proven experience in software integration, preferably within the automotive industry. Develop processes and tools that design-in robustness to the Body systems. Support issue investigations with software teams and suppliers, using structured problem-solving techniques.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Experience of Software Supplier management and Software delivery process. Experience of Software Release Management process. Experience of System Engineering principles. Ability to coordinate multiple activities across teams to ensure synchronisation of programme deliverables. A technical background in software controls or system integration.
