CHS213 - Lecturer in Psychological Health & Wellbeing

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Psychology with expertise in psychological health and wellbeing to join our thriving research community. You will contribute to our well-established Psychological Health and Wellbeing Research Group, which focusses on mental health research, intervention development, implementation science, and service improvement, particularly in rural and coastal communities, suicide prevention, and digital mental health.

We particularly welcome applicants whose research aligns with one or more of the following areas:

Mental health service access and delivery, including rural and coastal health inequalitiesPsychological processes underlying mental health outcomes, such as resilience, psychological flexibility, or trauma-informed careSuicide prevention and crisis response, particularly for underserved populationsCo-production, participatory research, and citizen science approaches in mental healthDigital and remote mental health interventions, including predictive technologies and implementation research

CHS214 - Lecturer in Forensic Psychology

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Psychology with expertise in forensic psychology to join our thriving research community. The successful candidate will contribute to our well-established Forensic & Crime Research Group, which focusses on the application of psychological knowledge and methods to areas relating to crime and justice.

We particularly welcome applicants whose research aligns with one or more of the following areas:

Public attitudes (e.g., attitudes towards people who have offended and their reintegration into society)Gambling and addiction (e.g., identifying and managing risk factors for addiction)Forensic practice research (e.g., the assessment and treatment of offending behaviours, occupational stress among staff working in high-stress environments, and trauma resilience in forensic populations and staff)Understanding offending (e.g., examining processes and factors associated with offence-related cognitions and fantasies)Service evaluations (e.g., evaluating the delivery and efficacy of local rehabilitation schemes)

For both of these roles you must also hold a PhD in a relevant field and be willing to contribute to a thriving research culture in Psychology at the University of Lincoln. You should also possess the broad range of skills required to teach effectively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You will be an excellent team player as well as capable of developing and leading your own research agenda in line with the University research strategy. You will be able to demonstrate how you will be ready for future REF submission through a publication record and research trajectory that demonstrates high quality. There will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and expertise through staff development courses and events.

The School of Psychology, Sport Science & Wellbeing is housed in two purpose-built buildings with an extensive range of research equipment.
