We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the staff team at Harper & Keele Veterinary School as a Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Skills on a one-year fixed term maternity cover contract. With this exciting opportunity, the post holder will have an important role in the practical and theoretical teaching and assessment of veterinary clinical skills content across the Harper & Keele BVetMS curriculum. The Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Skills will ensure coordination of veterinary clinical skills training across the programme. The successful candidate must be a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) (or be eligible for registration without the requirement to sit the membership examination). The candidate should also have previous experience in Higher Education and clinical experience of veterinary practice across the animal species.
In addition to teaching, you will be required to undertake other academic duties such as assessment, student support and student recruitment, working as part of the team as well as independently. You will also be expected to be active in scholarship in line with the School’s strategic themes.
