Lift Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Service & Callout Engineer to join our Team working for Rubax, based out of our Warrington Office. The successful candidate will be experienced in third party equipment and the major manufacturers preferred. They must have clean driving licence, as will be travelling around the North West region and possess the ability to be self-motivated, able to work on own. Night call is mandatory. The engineer will ideally reside in nominated region for logistical reasons. This is a full time and permanent role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA etc) To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning Checking the lift function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise temperature and power supply using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment Carry out the routine inspection, adjustment, of lift installations in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift and complete service log cards and PDA Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current company and UK legal requirements Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour at all times Employee must adhere to the use of a handheld device for reporting work activities and any future technology introduced to enhance real time reporting

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience in Lift Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred. Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Flexibility Good problem solving skills Good communication skills at different levels (client/Inspectors/Managers) Full UK driving License required
