Key Responsibilities and What You'll Be Doing:

In this hands-on role, you will be at the heart of physical logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the entire lifecycle of materials, from receipt and storage to picking, processing, and dispatch, ensuring strict adherence to all governing procedures.
  • Conducting thorough physical inspections as part of the goods receipt process, utilizing appropriate inspection methods.
  • Maintaining absolute compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, quality requirements, and inspection procedures.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of physical logistics processes, aiming for cost reduction and enhanced service levels.
  • Ensuring materials are correctly packaged for safe and compliant loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Managing and retaining essential paperwork, such as Goods Received Notes (GRN) and Proof of Delivery (PoD).
  • Performing physical counts to support accurate inventory management.
  • Operating mechanical handling equipment (MHE) and other physical logistics elements.

What We're Looking For in a Candidate:

  • Experience: While experience in physical logistics operations is highly desirable, a strong aptitude for the role will be considered.
  • Awareness of Regulations: An understanding of key regulatory requirements pertinent to logistics is beneficial.
  • Stock Management: Demonstrated ability in stock compliance and adherence.
  • MHE & Lifting: Experience with Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and lifting/slinging is desirable. A forklift truck license is highly advantageous, though training will be provided if necessary.

  • Security Clearance: To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you must hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats. Rolls-Royce will support you in obtaining this if you do not currently hold it.
  • Nationality: Due to the nature of the business and the protection of sensitive assets, UK nationality is a requirement. Dual nationals will undergo additional scrutiny.
  • Location: This is a full-time role based in Derby (Raynesway).
