Job Summary

Based in our thriving East Cowes facilities, and reporting into the Site Supply Chain Director, the Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager leads the Logistics Managers and Specialists in managing, operating and controlling all physical flows to, within, and from the sites. They will manage the team's and processes' effectiveness of receiving operations, transport organising and planning, warehouse operations, management of physical inventory, internal logistics and outbound operations.

Additionally they will ensure the Logistics Team executes activities within site, national and international regulations where applicable.

This role is crucial in maintaining efficient logistics operations while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, thereby supporting the overall quality and safety of the manufacturing process

Job Responsibilities

Broad range of responsibilities, including overall responsibility for all aspects of:

Inventory Control (Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products, maintaining accurate inventory records and optimal stock levels, implementing inventory control systems etc.); Transportation Coordination (managing the internal and external movement of goods, selecting carriers and negotiating rates and contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery etc.); Warehouse Operations; Customs Compliance Management (including regulatory adherence, quality assurance, and risk management); Team Leadership and Development (including training and career development, and promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement etc.); Performance Monitoring (monitoring logistics performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement, managing relationships with vendors, transportation providers, and customers etc.).

Job Qualifications

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

Significant experience and expertise in warehouse and logistics processes, to include transport management, internal flows and warehousing, inventory management, customs and transport regulations. First class communication skills, with the ability to build, and effectively manage, relationships; Strong people leadership experience, with the proven ability to develop high performing teams; MRP knowledge; Experience of continuous process improvement.
